5/28/08 - The Teen Summer Reading Club start this upcoming Monday!!

5/27/08 - The final party for the Spring 2008 PNG session was held today! Check out the "Read" posters the PNG participants created.

4/2/08 - The Spring Session of PNG will be starting next week, on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 3:30 p.m.

3/7/08 - If you are on Facebook, join the Joliet Public Library Teens Group!! Just search the groups, and you should be able to find it.

3/4/08 - The 2009 Abe Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award List is available!
The 2008 winner is Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson and The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom came in second and third places.

2/15/08 - A list of recent New Teen Nonfiction at the main library.

2/13/08 - A link to Stephanie Meyer's You Tube video - she speaks about Twilight and the rest of the series. The fourth book, Breaking Dawn, will be released on August 2nd. See Meyer's website for more info.

11/13/07 - Anime Club is "on hold" for now (last meeting was Nov 8), but we hope to get it up and going again soon. Check back!

10/22/07 - Teen Anime Club - This coming Thursday, October 25 at 6:00 PM. Bring anime and manga to share. Bring your Yu-Gi-Oh cards if you have them and want to play.

9/28/07 - The Fall '07 PNG session starts Monday, October 1 at 3:30 PM for 6th to 9th Graders.

9/27/07 - We had a great Anime Club meeting tonight! Keep coming! The next meeting is Thursday, October 11 at 6 pm at the branch.
9/22/07 - The Caudill attendees for the "Drums, Girls. . . " discussion had fun making "Dangerous Pies".
9/14/07 - Caudill Club for Grades 4 to 8 starts tomorrow at the branch at 11 am.

NEWS: JPL will be having Harry Potter Trivia Contest for young adults entering 6th grade and up from July 2 to July 19! Two contestestants will win a copy to own of the 7th Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

4/1/2007 - Teen Anime Club now has officers! Twelve kids/teens attended the meeting at the branch on March 29. It was proposed that the club have officers to plan and organize meetings and events. Each member voted after candidates for each office were asked questions by the other club members.

Last Monday, American Born Chinese won the Printz Award.
We are currently accepting PNG applications from Jr High students in grades 6 to 8 - through Feb. 5.
At the branch, Anime Club has had 7 to 10 regular attendees.
DDR started at the branch on Friday night.
